The Waterways and Drainage Charge funds a range of projects that benefit the entire region.
The Waterways and Drainage Charge is used to help take care of our rivers and creeks. It also helps to look after Melbourne’s drainage system and protects us from floods. We collect this charge each quarter on behalf of Melbourne Water.
From 1 July 2019, the flat rate for a residential property is $25.52 per quarter
The Waterways and Drainage Charge does not cover the cost of looking after drains on your individual property.
