A leak on your property can contribute to high water use and a sudden increase in the cost of your water bill.
Watch our short video to learn how to check for leaks and follow these easy steps.
Step 1: Locate your water meter. Step 2:Turn off all taps, except for the stop-tap next to the water meter and at the toilet. Step 3: Make sure no one uses any water during the testing time (10 minutes). Step 4: If you suspect a leak, it's best to repeat the test. Please also read I may have leak. What do I do?
Keep in mind:
If you live in a block of units or flats you may need to contact your Owners Corporation to conduct a leak test.
A leak test might not show possible leaks with automated watering systems or dripper systems in your garden.
If you have recently installed a new irrigation system, evaporative cooler, or solar panels, these appliances may be contributing to an increase in water use.
